Addis Credit and Saving Institution
AdCSI is micro financial institution, which
operates with in the boundaries of Addis Ababa City Administration. It was established
& registered at the National Bank of Ethiopia on January, 2000. It is owned by six
shareholders, namely, Addis Ababa City Administration, A.A. Women, Youth & Teachers
associations' karaalo Akababi Hulegeb peasants cooperative & one physical person.

Vision Seeks to see reduction of poverty and un employment
problem To be operationally and financially sustainable To be a Model MFI in the
country as well as in Africa specially in urban MFI practice.
Mission
AdCSI's mission is to promote micro and small enterprises development to alleviate poverty and unemployment prevailing in the Addis Ababa City Administration through provision of sustainable financial and other related service with particular attention to women.
Objective
Provision of credit and saving services to as many active poor as possible;
Enhance the development of micro and small enterprise:that all entrepreneurial activities with scale of micro and small should be given access to financial services;
Give priority to women in the provision of financial services;
Enhance the culture of saving by target people and wider public; Create long-term self employment in income
generating activities; Assure financial & operational self sufficiency of the institution.
Target Groups
MSE operators & potential operators. Cooperatives Farmers with in
the boundary of Addis Ababa Addis Ababa city government employee Special focus will
be given for the disabled. Special focus will be given for HIV victims.
Governance
The highest body is the general assembly of share holders. Next to that the board
of directors who are drawn from Addis Ababa city government of Bureau of Trade and
Industry, Finance Bureau, and AEMFI, Associations of youth and women. The board
is responsible for policy issues,directions,approving plan budget,appointing the general manager.

Providing credit service to MES operators and potential operators,
Providing saving service
Counseling and provision of advice for the target group on business and financial affairs.
Facilitating business development services for clients.
Managing loanable fund for GO s, NGOs, CBOs and others.
Effecting payments and collecting revenue for other institutions.
