The Association of Ethiopian Microfinance Institutions (AEMFI) is planning to hold its 7th Bi-Annual Microfinance Conference September 18-20, 2012. The theme of this year's conference will be “Contributions of Microfinance Institutions in Implementing the Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP)”. The following topics are the focus of the conference and the papers to be presented.

  1. Saving mobilization of MFIs to achieve the targets of GTP
  2. The performance of MFIS in MSE development
  3. MFIs and growth in agriculture
  4. SACCOs development and their role in achieving GTP
  5. Insurance and other MFI products
  6. Value chain financing and MFIs
  7. Innovation in MFIs industry
  8. Other related issues in MFIs and financial cooperatives

The Association of Ethiopian Microfinance Institution (AEMFI) invites policy makers/regulators, practitioners, researchers and consultants to submit papers on the above listed areas. AEMFI will pay a modest honorarium to authors of selected papers as a token of appreciation.

A short abstract of the paper should be submitted for screening until  July 23, 2012on the following address.
